Lake Como Hiking: Vezio Castle & Sentiero del Viandante from Varenna to Bellano

Discover one of the most captivating sections of the Sentiero del Viandante: a guided trek from Varenna to Bellano with a certified hiking guide (AMM), featuring breathtaking views and a final aperitif on Lake Como.

Starting from the picturesque village of Varenna (easily reachable by ferry from Bellagio), we’ll hike up to the Castle of Vezio to enjoy one of the most stunning views of Lake Como. The trek continues north along a scenic stretch of the Sentiero del Viandante, winding through chestnut woods, ancient stone walls, and terraced farmland. We’ll arrive in Bellano, where you can visit the Orrido di Bellano, a dramatic natural gorge protected by the UNESCO MAB Network. The return to Varenna is by train.

At the end of the hike, the guides will offer a delicious aperitif featuring local cured meats.

Good to Know • A minimum level of fitness and comfort walking on uneven trails is required • The itinerary may be subject to changes, including last-minute adjustments, at the guide’s discretion based on weather, trail conditions, or the group’s physical condition

Reservations: must be made within 24 hours of the activity’s start time. Full payment is required in advance by credit card.
Full refund (after deducting the payment method’s commission): guaranteed for cancellations/renunciations made up to 3 days before the event.
100% Penalty: Applies to cancellations made within 3 days prior to the event, with no refund issued.
