Guided Trek to San Martino Sanctuary overlooking Lake Como

Discover one of the most spectacular viewpoints over Lake Como on a guided hike to San Martino Sanctuary above Griante. A pleasant uphill walk along a historic mule track, lined with small votive chapels and scenic overlooks, leads to the church set against the mountainside.

From the meadow in front of the church, a wide natural terrace opens onto the central area of Lake Como, the surrounding mountains, and the tip of Bellagio — a view that truly rewards every step. Along the way, your professional Alpine guide will share insights into the local history, landscape, and natural environment.

At the end of the hike, the guides will treat you to a delicious aperitivo with local salami and prosecco.

San Martino: a natural terrace over the Central Lake

From the center of Griante, the trail climbs towards San Martino Sanctuary, following a historic route lined with small votive chapels and increasingly wide panoramic viewpoints.

Upon reaching the church, the meadow before it reveals wide-open views across the central part of Lake Como, the surrounding peaks, and the promontory of Bellagio.
From here, your gaze takes in one of the most enchanting stretches of Lake Como, offering a peaceful moment immersed in nature and tranquility.

• The route follows a comfortable uphill mule track, suitable for anyone used to walking and without technical difficulties.
• The itinerary may be subject to changes, even at short notice, at the guide’s discretion depending on weather or organizational conditions.
