From the hut, go down Via Dante and reach a washbasin, from there go up the stairs of Via Pr\u00e0 del Calice. Continue straight, ignoring two right turns, and at the junction with Via degli Alpini follow the signs for G\u00dcSS (416). Cross a meadow, pass in front of ruined farmhouses, and follow SENTIERO 3 (416) in the woods to a large meadow in the locality of G\u00fcss. Go through a gate, pass in front of a house with a 350-year-old beech tree, and turn left towards the woods (413).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe trail winds through a forest of firs and birches. At a clearing, turn right and re-enter the woods, following the signs for SANTISSIMA – TRONCA – CIVENNA – SENTIERO Ignore two signs on a birch tree and take the first right fork onto SENTIERO 3 (416), which skirts the “Giarabub” Farm and ends on a dirt road. Follow Via Mora, which becomes paved, and turn right at the intersection following the signs for VIA SORRISO – CASCINA GORLA – CIVENNA 2. Continue along Via Sorriso (411) and Via Plinio, with views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Upon reaching Via Provinciale, turn right and then again right onto Via Marazza, following the signs for CIVENNA CENTRO. After the old washbasin, turn left onto Via Volta, passing under an arch. Follow the directions for “MADONNA DI GRE\u00c9 E PANORAMICA ETTORE FOSCHI”. Admire the 16th-century church of the Madonna di Gre\u00e9 and continue downhill to reach the Big Bench of Civenna.\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From the Big Bench<\/strong><\/a> panoramic viewpoint, continue along the paved road and follow “SENTIERO 27 DEL TIVANO” through woods and meadows, ignoring the detours for Limonta and Guello. Cross a short exposed section, ideal for admiring the view of Lake Como. Pass through the village of Limontasca, where a short detour leads you to a magnificent panoramic point overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Starting from the TreeB Hut, head towards the town center where, on the right, you can visit the Parish Church dedicated to the Saints Materno and Ambrose, dating back to 1573. Continuing along the main road, you reach the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Sommaguggio, located at the top of the climb that leads to Civenna from Canzo. This ancient building, with its covered churchyard and granite columns, is one of the oldest structures in Civenna. Continuing along the road, after about two hundred meters, you will find the entrance to Via Palembri on the left.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFollow Via Palembri until you reach a small parking lot, passing the aqueduct and a chain that blocks the passage. Continuing, the cobblestones give way to asphalt, skirting a residential area. The road continues through a forest, passing by “Villa Pierina” and under a small viaduct. The mule track begins a steady climb with wide bends, up to a concrete ramp. From here, the steep path continues, leaving on the right the detour for the path “Civenna 2”. The long descent along Via Fratelli Cairoli finally leads to a small fountain with signs, followed by a right turn and then a left turn onto Via General Cantore.\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Continuing, you pass the church of Santa Maria del Carmine on your right and cross the coastal state road, turning left to enter Via Machiavelli. Continuing uphill, you will reach Via Parrocchiale, passing by the small war memorial, and arrive at the church of Saints Celso and Nazario. You will reach the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Ghisallo<\/strong><\/a>, a place of great historical and religious importance, known as the patron saint of cyclists. Here you can visit the famous Cycling Museum, which houses historical relics of great cycling champions such as Bartali, Coppi and Merckx. The shrine itself is a pilgrimage site much loved by cyclists, so much so that in 1949 Pope Pius XII proclaimed it the universal patron of cyclists. Next to the sanctuary there is a monument dedicated to Coppi and Bartali, symbol of the long cycling tradition linked to this place.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
