A mule track along the hillside, an ancient route connecting the lakeside villages, through chestnut forests and characteristic terraced fields. <\/p><p>From the village of Varenna, accessible by ferry from Bellagio, you ascend to the Castle of Vezio and then head north. In addition to the natural surroundings and some geological curiosities, you will enjoy wide panoramic views of the lake, popular sacred sites, dry stone walls, and, for those who wish, the famous
